he air is shifting. You notice it when you step outside in the evening—cooler, quieter, with a softness that wasn’t there a few weeks ago. Summer has left you buzzing, stretched between plans and full days, and now your body whispers for rest. That’s why Sacred Stillness is returning earlier than usual this year. Instead of waiting until winter, we’re beginning this fall—because the need to pause is already here.
Your Experience
You arrive at the studio on a Monday afternoon. The day has been full, but as you step inside Suite 12, the light is low, the room is warm, and the outside world fades away. Bolsters, blankets, and mats are already waiting—an unspoken invitation to let yourself be held. You find your spot, lay down, and exhale.
The class begins with yin yoga—poses you sink into slowly, staying long enough to feel the tension unravel from your hips and back. It’s not about pushing; it’s about noticing where you’ve been holding on and giving yourself permission to release.
From there, you slide into restorative postures. With props supporting every angle, your body finally surrenders. Here, your nervous system gets the message it’s been craving: it’s safe to let go.
As you rest, I come around offering Reiki. Perhaps you feel warmth in your chest, or a gentle tingling across your arms. Perhaps it just feels like quiet peace. Nothing is required of you—just be open to receiving.
We close with meditation and sound. The bowls begin to hum, tones filling the space and washing over you. Their vibrations settle into your bones, clearing out the static of the day. By the time you sit up, the room feels wider, and so do you. You leave lighter, calmer, ready to carry that stillness into the week ahead.
Why Fall is the Right Time
Usually Sacred Stillness returns in winter, when darkness and cold draw us inward. But this year, the call came sooner.
You’re in transition. Fall is a liminal season, asking you to move from doing into being.
You need prevention, not recovery. Instead of waiting for burnout, you can refill your cup now.
You’re not meant to push alone. Just as trees let go of their leaves, you too can release—gently, with support.
You benefit from rhythm. A weekly pause grounds you in community and in your own body.
